“In our humble opinion, the MTV Video Music Awards last night sucked. All the self-generated hype, all the pop culture fluff, it was just too much to swallow. Madonna kissing Britney and Christina? Contrived, not controversial. Mostly, it was just sad. After a while, we got the feeling we had been eating cake frosting for two hours. Anyway, we had planned on doing a recap — complete with witty comments — but we’re just not interested anymore.”
